Salt Lake County's First Indoor Dog Park & Community
A beautifully designed indoor space where dogs play, humans connect, and every visit feels like a breath of fresh air — rain, shine, or Utah snowstorm.
Our Story
We believe Salt Lake County deserves a place where your dog can run free, you can grab a great cup of coffee, and you might just make a new friend — human or otherwise.
A Walk in the Park is an all-weather indoor dog park, café, and community hub. We obsessed over every detail — the turf, the trees, the lighting — so that every visit feels like stepping into something special.
Climate-controlled spaces for year-round fun, no matter the weather outside.
Comfortable seating, great coffee, and good company make it easy to linger.
Supervised zones, size separation, and a caring team always on the floor.
Events, memberships, and a crowd of fellow dog lovers who get it.
What's Inside
Every zone is thoughtfully designed to give dogs the enrichment they crave — and give you a space you'll actually want to hang out in.
The Heart of the Park
Our main open play area features lush artificial turf, a signature light-wrapped tree, and agility features like ramps and tunnels. This is where zoomies happen, friendships form, and tired dogs are made. The circular design keeps sightlines open so you never lose track of your pup.
Small Dog Zone
A lush, flower-lined garden designed specifically for the small breeds. Agility bridges, tunnels, and cozy corners — all at the right scale.
Food & Drink
Specialty coffee, light bites, and dog-friendly treats. Because you deserve something delicious while your dog has the time of their life.
Grooming & Wash
Professional grooming services and DIY self-wash stations with clawfoot tubs. Leave looking better than you arrived — both of you.
Supervised Play & Lounge
Part supervised play zone, part cozy sanctuary. The Ruff House Retreat features indoor agility obstacles, rest pods, and trained staff on the floor — plus a relaxed lounge area with wicker seating, a splash pool, and a curated retail shelf. Whether your dog wants to run wild or wind down, this is their home away from home.
DIY Dog Wash
Skip the mess at home. Our self-serve dog wash stations are stocked with premium shampoos, conditioners, and grooming tools — all included. Elevated clawfoot tubs make bath time easy on your back, and our warm water, high-velocity dryers, and fluffy towels make it easy on your dog. Walk in muddy. Walk out magnificent.

Community Outreach
A Walk in the Park is more than a business — it's a community resource. We're committed to supporting animal welfare in Salt Lake County through free programs, open to everyone.
We partner with local shelters and rescues to host regular adoption fairs inside the park. Come meet dogs looking for their forever home in a warm, welcoming environment — not a kennel.

✓ Free & Low-Cost OptionsFostering a dog? Bring them in at no charge, every single visit. We believe foster families deserve all the support we can give — socialization, play time, and a break for you.
✓ Free Every Visit, No ExceptionsWe offer complimentary training sessions for support and service animals and their handlers. Because the dogs who do the most for us deserve the best training we can provide.
✓ Always Free for Support AnimalsOur outreach programs are a permanent part of who we are — not a one-time campaign. Whether you're fostering, adopting, or just want to get your pup vaccinated, A Walk in the Park is here for you. No membership required, no strings attached.
Investment Opportunity
A Walk in the Park is seeking a limited number of community investors to help bring this vision to life. We're not just building a dog park — we're building a destination business in one of Utah's fastest-growing communities.
Investment Tiers
The pet industry is one of the most recession-resistant consumer categories in the U.S. Pet owners don't cut back on their animals — they upgrade. And yet, the experiential side of pet ownership — places to go, not just products to buy — remains dramatically underserved.
Salt Lake County is a high-income, high-density suburb with a young professional demographic, strong household formation rates, and almost no comparable destination. We're not competing with a local dog park. We're creating a category.
A Walk in the Park combines three recurring revenue streams — memberships, café, and grooming — with the community stickiness of a place people actually want to come back to every week.
With membership pre-sales, multi-stream revenue, and lean operational costs, we project reaching break-even within the first 12 to 18 months of operation.
Memberships provide predictable monthly income independent of foot traffic volatility.
Day passes, memberships, café sales, grooming, retail, and events — six ways to earn from one location.
Dog owners visit frequently and stay loyal. A member who joins at year one has multi-year value.
The concept is built to replicate. Salt Lake County is location one. The playbook scales to other Utah markets and beyond.
The relationships and routines formed here are hard to replicate. Community is the competitive advantage.
