How It All Began
More than ten years ago, I was visiting my daughter in Maine during the middle of winter. We decided to take our dogs to a local dog park, and before long we were standing there, freezing from head to toe.
I remember thinking, "Someone really needs to build an indoor dog park."
It seemed like such a wild idea at the time, but it stayed with me long after that trip ended.
Over the years, I found myself returning to that idea again and again. I imagined what the perfect space could look like—a place where dogs could run and play no matter the weather, where people could relax with a cup of coffee, meet new friends, attend fun events, and simply enjoy spending time together.
Little by little, that dream grew into a plan. And now, after more than a decade of dreaming, learning, and planning, A Walk in the Park is becoming a reality.
Our Vision
A Walk in the Park is more than an indoor dog park. It's a place to laugh, connect, celebrate, and create memories with the companions who love us unconditionally.
Whether you're stopping in for a quick visit, catching up with friends over coffee while your dog plays, celebrating a special occasion, or escaping a rainy day, we hope you'll feel like you've found your happy place.
We're building a community where every wagging tail is celebrated, every visitor is welcomed like a neighbor, and every dog is treated like family.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you've been cheering us on from the beginning or you're just discovering us today, we're so glad you're here.
Welcome to A Walk in the Park.
